These media outlets were the main ones saying blacks shouldn’t own guns because of black on black violence for years. When I came on board with the NRA their articles and news post read, “The NRA brings on young black commentator to convince more blacks to own guns” as a bad thing. Now the same media outlets are saying the NRA doesn’t care about black gun owners as if all of sudden they care about gun rights now. How do you let media outlets gas you up to be mad at the NRA (A 2A “policy” based Organization) because they didn’t give a full statement about a solitary case that arguably has nothing to with 2A Policy beyond Philando having a permit that Yanez didn’t even know about until after he shot him (Still doesn’t make the shooting justified in my opinion). The same NRA who fought For Shaneen Allens (black) right to carry a gun across state lines, Josephine Byrds (black) right to own a gun In her housing project and Otis McDonalds (black) right to own a gun for protection in south side Chicago? Y'all getting gassed up about black gun rights by media outlets who have been advocating against those very rights for Decades! This has nothing to do with black gun rights and has everything to do with making the NRA, the most powerful 2A organization on he planet, look unattractive to new members because they know the only thing standing in their way of their desire to ban guns in this country is the NRA. They can deal with all the little groups here and there but they fear the NRA. When’s the last time anti-gunners said, oh we could pass this gun control measure but some other 2A org is in the way, they treat the NRA like the illuminati. I get it, a lot of people on the surface feel the NRA should say something more, but remember this. I’ve been doing this for over 11 years and the thing Ive learned is that this is a game of chess not checkers. The other side (anti-gunners) are smart and they know who to manipulate people, events and issues to their favor for their agenda, don’t get hoodwinked by their fake concern for black gun rights, because if they had their way you wouldn’t any gun rights. #hopsoffsoapbox
